hello All smart people!!

I image Citrix systems for an education environment. Whenever I create a new image, the Citrix Management Console keeps the hostname of the system I have imaged in its Server table. I can't uninstall it, and I am unable to find it in the registry or in any file on the system. I KNOW it is on the system somewhere, however, doing a search by "File Contents" has turned up nothing.

Does anyone know how I can remove that entry????

Thanks to all

You should be able to simply right click and select "Remove Server from Farm".

The entry is stored in both the Local Host Cache and the DataStore.

Note; I have found it easier and cleaner to image W2k or NT4 TSE servers and run an unattended installation of MetaFrame rather than image servers with MF installed.

Hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

I have tried the "Remove from farm" option, however, I receive an error stating it can not be removed and I should uninstall Citrix from the server to remove it. However, of course, since this is an image, the box actually doesn't exsist.

What is the procedure to manually remove the entry from the Local Host Cache and the DataStore?

Thank you for your assistance.

Citrix does not support imaging the server with Citrix preinstalled on it. However the server name key is under

HKLM \ Software \ Citrix \ IMA

in here you will see a value Server Host. Change it there and restart all IMA services running.

It is not recommended doing it this way, since when you first build a box it talks to the data store and adds information in a dynamic manor. What is your data store running on, is it a Third Party database or local Access database ?
