Citrix Server Farm

We have a Citrix XPe ver1 feature release 3 farm consisting of 18 servers. We are planning to upgrade to Presentation 3 then Presentation 4 some time after the new year. However I have a need to build a new Citrix box and I need it to be a Presentation Server. I know that Presentation 4 can not co-exist in an XPe farm but, Can a Citrix Presentation 3 server?
These are all Windows Servers

My thoughts are that it can, as the architecture changed between 3 and 4.

The 3.0 and 4.0 servers can co-exist with the XPe servers as long as you have "interoperability mode" enabled on your farm.
