sorry for double post but i know the lad has this

setting up a farm with 8 servers - xpe fr3 on 2003 sp1
everything is nal'd and gpo's controlled via zen etc
the servers will not be in a domain

what is best way for profiles
basically i want it to be mandatory or is volatile better?

if mandatory what is best way of doing it

Well, think of it this way.

Do you want the user to be able to add shortcuts to their Citrix desktop, or do you want to clear anything a user does after every login? If you host office apps, and they make changes to a tool bar, do you want it to be cleared out every log out?

Personally, I only use volitile for kiosk systems and for users who suffer from a total managment lock down (temps and other low little peeps). When I have used volitile in the past for a normal user (Citrix or other wise), I have been forced to remove the volitile setting because it annoyed to many users. User just want to be able to create an icon or set a tool bar and have that be there on next login.

The community is not a good place to ask your question, this is a question for your customer.
