I have a Citrix XPe farm with FR2 on W2K Advanced server.
All users have Win 2000 Pro in NT domains.

When some users (not all ???) connect to Citrix they get the following error: Could not create \\homentserver\username.pds ???

All NT user profiles are in the folder \\homentserver\users\username where username is shared with change rights for the specific user

The Citrix profiles are on the Domain Controller of the Citrix Servers in the folder \\citrixpdc\profiles$ where Everyone has change rights.

I know from earlier that this has something to do with NT 3.51 profiles being updated to NT 4.0. But the strange thing is we never had NT 3.51 servers, so no such profiles.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening???

Thx

If anyone is interested, the solution was the following:

The lack of a good lmhosts file on one of the two servers in the farm was the reason for these errors.

If you needed an lmhosts file, then your Name Resolution servers (eg DNS) may need closer examination. CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

DNS isn't implemented on our NT servers, we will do this when we upgrade to 2000 in the beginning of next year, thats why we still use our lmhosts files.

Thx anyway
