Hi,
I am having some problems with my Citrix Presentation Server V4.5 Advanced edition.
I have two servers, one is connecting fine and with the other, if i try launch any apps from home page i get the below sequence of error message:

"Error in ICA file:
The line '<html>' was encountered before a section was found.
Please contact your Metaframe administrator."

Then, after pressing "OK",

"Error in ICA file"

Then:

"The address of an application server must be specified."

I cant see this being a client issue because the same clients can connect to my other citrix server, with same browser, java etc fine.

Has anyone come across this type of error before?
Thanks in advance.

Are you using the web interface to connect to this server? Ive sen somethign similar when the web interface wasnt configured correctly? In particular the DMZ / CSG Settings..

Are these for clients on the local LAN segment or for users coming into the webserver from the external internet?

Hi, and thanks for the reply.. yes we are using the web interface, and these are users that are coming in from external.
I was assuming it was a certificate based problem with browsers?

are you also using secure gateway? ive only seen certificate errors (and no connection to a webinterface) VIA secure gateway because the gateway had an invalid certificate . . and prevented people connecting. . . i dont think i have had errors with certificates for a direct web interface connection.. sorry im not much help!

No problem, thank you so much for your reply.. i think you are correct and users are accessing Citrix via Checkpoints Connectra product.. connectra is an SSL VPN solution.

You think its a certificate issue with connectra?
