We are coming in behind a previous VAR who has loaded Citrix on an Exchange Server. Any thoughts on this practice good or bad? Any environments where this has been done successfully...what are the challenges? Thanks in advance for input.

On the surface this looks very bad. Depends why it was done, I suppose, but even in desparate circumstances, you would not really want to run Terminal Services and Exchange on the same machine - the overload from one service to the other would cause unpredictable response times.

If the server happened to have 4Gb or so of RAM, and only 15 Citrix users running Word and Outlook, I suppose this might be forgiveable. But certainly not recommended!

Hope this helps

Totally agree with C/E above. In normal circumstances, you just couldn't do it, but with Mega-RAM, few users and a small mail server setup (15 users etc), you could get away with it. Cheers,
Sam
