I have an application that works with Office 97 and a Citrix XP enviroment , but when it is used in an Office 2000 and Citrix enviroment it keeps setting off the office installer. The app works after the installer has finished but is a pain ??????????

Hi,

What is in the Event Log regarding MsInstaller?

Cheers,
Carl.

Thank you DaSmee for your reply however this link does not seem to work, Could you repost?

Do a search in Tek Tips for Installer and Fixed as I posted a message ages ago!

Cheers,
Carl.

Hi,

I found it, try the following:-

Using usrlogon.cmd, write the following to each users registry on login with the following line:-

REGEDIT /S ?:\????\OfficeUD.REG

Write the following to OfficeUD.REG (missing the ***** line!)

Cheers,
Carl.

Cheers OGI I noticed this path in the errors in event viewer, why do you think the program look for this path, the path does not exist on a win2k server without Term Serv and the app works. I will try this edit and see if it works, thanks for yor time.
