Anyone know of any special configuration requirments to make a Citrix MetaFrame app. work across frame relay using Cisco routers? Thanks in advance for your help.
Do you mean open port 1494 on the router? Port 1494 is already open on the perimeter firewall (MS ISA server 2000).
The hosted Cirtix server is outside of my firewall. Client PCs traverse a cisco 2801 (at remote site) and a cisco 2811 at the head end. Internet traffic is then forwarded on to firewall located on head end subnet.
Citrix client sessions do work on the head end local subnet. They are unable to connect from remote subnets.
Is there is anything in the cisco routers that could be preventing the remote ICA clients from connecting.
This connection from remote Cisco 2801 to the 2811 at head office is transparent?
As test Can You Ping eg. computers on Head site from Remote Site ?? an other ports?? Have access to the Internet??? via Your i thin VPN - frame-relay connection.
When Yes - that is nothing to configure in Cisco routers.
Possible is that in EventLog on your Citrix server is information that this remote computers cannot issue Client License from Microsoft Terminal Services process on Citrix Server.
If yes
That possible is so you must at some time open port on firewall to the rdp Connection to the Citrix port 3389 and start connect once from remote PC-s to this server via RDP (You become this License), and than via Citrix Client.
If you have distributing only Citrix Desktop that opened port on firewall 1494 is ok, but if you wish distributing application from Citrix You must have UDP browser from Citrix to open on port 1604
