Here is the scenario:

I installed NFuse on our web server and activated the XML service on our Citrix server. I used the Web Page Wizard to create a site and everything worked great (in the office). However, when I tried to access the apps from home I was told that the Citrix server could not be found. I did some reading and found that once the ica file is transfered to the client, communications are strictly between the client and the Citrix server. The problem is, my Citrix server has a private IP address. Any ideas as to how I can fix this problem..
Many Thanks in Advance..

Richard

Maybe you could use an altaddr (alternative address) for your internet/external connections?

I tried using the altaddr and set it to our external IP address, but this did not work. Any other thoughts?

Thanks

Richard

Try setting the name or IP address of your Master Browser in the Server Location field in the client.

If this doesn't work, check the DNS settings carefully.

Hope this helps

Hi, My name is sibelius. I have a question regarding the different between NFuse and ALE (Application launch and Embedded)?

ALE is the way that the web client works;

You can either Launch an app from the web page, so that you can then use the browser for other things, or you can embed it into the web page - which will tie the application to the page.

NFuse is a server extension that provides access to a Citrix server farm via a web page.

Hope this helps
