I have an application that turns the Num Lock Key on and off when a user presses the Page down or Page Up key.
If the application is published and run through an ICA client the num lock key will stay disabled. Pressing the num lock key has no effect. When I scroll down in the application the caps lock and scroll lock flash on and off.

OS:
Citrix Metaframe and Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server.
Latest Service packs installed

ICA:
Latest Version

Please Help??

It is a data entry application for loan data called MorVision (by Dynatek).

Does this only happen through Citrix, or can it be made to happen either on a Win9x or NT workstation, or via a vanilla Terminal Services session?

The num lock key behaves as expected in all 32bit versions of Windows. The application sends keyboard events to toggle the num lock on and off when the Pg down or Pg up key is pressed.

Is there some sort of keyboard buffer setting on the ICA that can be tweaked via the registry?

If I connect remotely via the internet it works fine. It just happens on a LAN. The users run two sessions with two different applications the num lock key works on one and not the other?

Thank you for your help.

I don't know the application, but I once installed MetaScybe's Connect OSI software for a large organisation. We had a similar problem, until someone discovered that there was a switch in the client software to enable/disable this state that was not documented!

Did you try it with Terminal Server alone (ie through a terminal Server client)?

Also, is this consistent, or if the user runs, say 5 sessions, how many sessions see this issue?

Does this happen with any other application?

It certainly sounds like an issue with this particular software, and I would suggest you contact the vendors.

I hope this helps.
