We have three citrix servers that are all Windows 2000 servers and we run Metaframe XP feature release 3 service pack 4. I am still relatively new to citrix and I have a question regarding licenses. We have 70 licenses that are up for renewal. I have about 12 users that came aboard this summer so I am wondering if I need to buy more licenses. These licenses are concurrent, correct? When I look at the management console I see there are currently 58 licenses "total in use". I also see that there are well over 80 licenses that are "pooled in use". What is the difference between the two?

The easiest way to tell is by going into the CMC and clicking on the license applet.
Once you are in there, go to the second tab named "Connection".

In here you will tell how many licenses you have, how many are in use and how many are available.
Should read something like "count", "pooled in use", "pooled available".

And yes....they are concurrent licenses.

Hope that helps.

sorry man!! i forgot... don't worry, i got your back. :)
