Hi all,

We have been running a Win2000 full network for 6-7 months now and we have implemented Citrix for about 3-4 months. Now are clients are getting a 'Your licence will expire in X amount of days message on connection' After checking our terminal server licencing app {assume this is correct} It displayed the computer names with temporary certificates and the expiry dates matched. The licencing server wasnt authorised - call to M/soft sorted that - key codes put in, now licenced. Yet the users still have temp licences. What im wondering is that when these expire, will the logon next time generate a new permanent licence or will it bomb out saying expired? Is there anyway of 'updating' the licences??!?! I dont want 15 angry users on my back in 13 days time :O)

Any help is very much appreciated!

Check Q287687 - this is a widely known bug in Microsoft's Terminal Server Licensing for W2k

Hope this helps

Another problem you will probably encounter is that even when the temporary licenses have expired a new license cannot be installed on the client machine as the expired license still exists in the registry. To resolve this issue you will need to edit the registry on each of the client machines the details for details of which can be found by following this link:
