Hello,

I have a user who have the following problem: each time she launches citrix (by web interface), she can log in, she sees her published applications, click on one, the first little window opens (normal) and after, nothing. No error message, nothing happens.

I uninstalled (including folder delete) and reinstalled the client, same thing.

No error in the server events.

An idea?

Anything in event logs regarding licenses I am thinking TS-cals ?

Delete all the temporary internet files. We had similar issues, did that and it worked fine.

Ok so:

I deleted the temporary internet files: same problem.
I re-installed after a complete uninstall of the citrix client (folder, registry): same problem.
I compared two Pcs using the web interface: every file is here, and their size is ok.

Yes it works on another computer, with the same profile.

I installed Mozilla Firefox + Citrix custom for it: it works perfectly. So she will work with Firefox as she don't want her PC to be completely reinstalled...

It appears her Internet Explorer won't work anymore with Citrix.

I think she partially uninstalled (or slaughtered) her citrix client and now we can not make it works anymore.

IE works fine for Citrix, try windows update or something to re-install IE.

Delet all cookie and temp files. After deleting, make sure EVERYthing is deleted in the Local Setting\Temp and temporary internet files directories, including content.ie5 directory. Try again. I am certain it's something with a cookie or a temp file. Reboot, try againm post what happens :)

Also run something like SpyBot to make sure there isn't some little nasty running in the background.

Yes Virus or troyans are a possibility also, as there is no antivirus on this PC...

Oops!![wink]

I have run into similar issues and it appears you need to force a citrix connection. Citrix used to have a page on their site you could run programs from like the calculator and that was all you needed to force the connection. I have a user who had to connect via RDC to another server and then they could connect via citrix.

I called tech support and here is the fix...open regedit and hkey local machine...open software...open Microsoft...open MSlicensing...right click on Store file folder and delete it. Viola! it worked for me...a tip from CBS technical support. Apparently the license somehow expires and blocks access. Don't ask...I tried everything else and this worked...thx.

or recreate the local profile on the machine. backup mail and files, logon as admin, delete her profile(on the PC), then I would also suggest to delete the citrix profile folder. Then she would log in to the PC creating a new local profile, and then to Citrix creating a new roaming profile.

Deleting TS CAL from registry also works in cases where you use Per Device CALs.

Ok- had the same problem (remember, Scott???) I had about 75 replies for help and then I finally figured it out...

I think I just threw the MetaFrame disk in and did the 'fix' / 'repair' option...

Tried again and it worked!!!
Let me know!!

I'll look for that post.

How could I forget, Bran. By the way its only one week till I go to Oz to live and work.

You could also try the connection types at the farm level in the Management Console.

Ok but the problem is only for this person. Citrix works well for the others.

And using another browser than Internet Explorer works on her computer.

Anywaay to bag IE and re-install ?
