I have a home user who connects to our agency's network via Citrix. When this user clicks on the Citrix icon, "a Domain contoller could not be found for the specified domain" error comes up. I recently had a licensing issue where a few temporary licenses had expired and this user was affected. This issue has since been resolved. Is this a problem with the Citrix connection or this user's computer?

Is this user "dialing in" to your corporate network? Does he access the server via VPN? Or is this server on the public Internet? When does he receieve this error?

The user is dialing in to our citrix server as a VPN and I believe this user is using Win98. This user recieves this error when the citirx icon is clicked on. Instead of getting the login box, the computer doesn't even connect.

You stated that the user is connecting via VPN. Is the modem (VPN connection) attached to the Citrix server directly? One thing to check is to make sure that the user has Client For Microsoft Networks installed and configured correctly, just as if this 98 box was a PHYSICAL member of your regular (not VPN) network.

Is their network/modem configuration OK....??? Does the modem dial...???!! Check phone number etc...Is the client set-up with Static Ip or DHCP...??

More questions... Is the user connecting to a Published Application/Desktop? or trying to connect via Custom ICA Connection? You may have a name resolution problem if trying to connect to a server using server name. Try IP address. Can the user ping the server by name? by IP? -- Devil Dog --
