Ok, I have a live customer using Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 and I am using Veritas Backup Exec 8.0 Rev 3314 to back up their server. Whenever I attempt a restore from a successful backup, it restores everything to M: & N: but it fails to connect\restore to the system state backup:
Unable to attach to \\MachineName\System?State. A device-specific error occurred. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^
I could not get backups to run properly on my test server either. After calling Citrix and Veritas both the only suggestion I got was to make a new share (C$) for the main disk (M$). This got backups going in my test environment ( I could bakcup the test server and restore everything) but I still cannot restore "succesfull" backups from the live server to the test server.
I am 99% sure it is not harware related on either ends.
If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any time you spent replying!
