Citrix application opening in notepad.

Hello All
I’m new to this forum and citrix. I install and deploy a citrix server, it’s up and running but when I lunched any published application it open notepad. Please help me resolve this problem.

Are you pointing the location of the application correctly when setting up the published application?

Sounds like you've not got anything installed on the machine you're trying to launch the application FROM which can deal with the Citrix application.

You need to make sure you have either Citrix Program Neighborhood or Citrix Web Client (or PNAgent) installed on the client machine in order to be able to launch applications from a Citrix server.

Only time i've seen this was when there was no client installed. Bear in mind that just because you've got a Citrix Server set up and running it doesn't mean the Citrix Client(s) have been installed, this is a separate process.

Try downloading the latest client from the Citrix web site, install it on the machine you want to launch from and that should then launch the applications correctly for you.
