Hi

We use Citrix ICA client to access our CD-ROMs server. Is there anyway we can lock down access so as not to show the terminal server desktop? Can be accessed if we 'explore' drives from the client end.

Would this be a group policy problem or a Citrix ICA one?
At the moment our users are set at Power Users in order to access CDs - some have a problem if set to standard user.

Any info/help greatly appreciated.

You can use GP to hide the drives, and Windows security settings to lock down places you don't want users to go.

It would be better to create a new Group with the required enhanced priveleges than use the Power Users group. Try this, add a test user or two until you get everything working the way it should, then add the other users.

You can probably publish the application you use to access the CD-ROM server - depends on how it's accessed - which would get rid of the desktop.

Hope this helps

I agree with CitrixEngineer, if you don't have a an app that looks at the cd server then publish an app called say CD Info.

This would have a command line of "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Iexplore.exe" "G:" where G is the mapped drive to the cdrom or something like that.

Cheers
Scott
