Citrix and Crystal Reports not retaining registration #

Hello,

This is a long shot, but... we have crystal reports v8.5 installed on our 4 citrix servers (windows server 2003). When I launch Crystal directly on the server, the regsitration info is retained correctly.

When we publish the application either by desktop or just the application (from any server), the application asks the user to register Crystal Reports. Why doesn't it retain the registration #?

Anyone have any ideas of where to check? I assume there may be something in the citrix server registry that I can set. Any thoughts?

Get all the users off.

Use change user /install
Run Crystal reports and enter reg details
Use change user /execute

Should work

Well, that's a great thought, but that didn't work either.

If I run Crystal directly on the Citrix server, the registration # is there. I even tried uninstalling crysta, going into install mode, and re-installing crystal. As soon as I try to run Crystal from the published application or a virtual desktop, I am prompted to enter the registration #.

I even tried to change into install mode on the virtual desktop and enter the registration. Once I exit Crystal and enter it again, the registration # is gone.

We're stumped here. Any other thoughts?

Regedit- HKEYLocalMachine-Software-Seagate Software-Crystal Reports-



Right click on KeyCode



Choose permissions. Make sure there is no deny for permissions for my login group.



It’s a known bug with crystal.
