Citrix 4.5 database issue

We have 2 sites running 4.5. On the local site we have no printer problems. On the remote site it can take ages for a user to get their network printers. We think the problem is having to come down to the local site to the SQL server to get the policies. Is it possible to have a copy of the database at the remote site so that the policies can be looked up from there.
 
I dont think this have anything with the sql server to do. but if it is; what would be the connection between printers and sql server on the site?

have u added all printerdrivers that the remote site are using to the printserver?
The remote sites uses the same printserver as the local site or does it have a server on remote site?
 
A file and print server at both ends with the same drivers on. Users are picking up printers from policies that have been disabled and also had the printer driver changed!!! Where else can you get printers from? There are none on the users fat client.
