I have removed myhost from citrix farm and when I try to join it again to the same farm I get the error:

A communications error occurred contacting the Management Service master server
for this farm. Please ensure the master server is available and try again.

and in syslog there is logged:

Dec  6 15:18:05 myhost user:err|error MetaFrame(License_Service)[630914]:     8300106: CTX1306E The License Service daemon is unable to communicate with the License Server.
Dec  6 15:18:05 myhost user:warn|warning MetaFrame(License_Service)[630914]:     8300217: CTX1305W The grace period assigned to this MetaFrame Presentation Server has expired.  It will no longer accept connections.

I am able successfuly create a new farm and it can successfuly connect license server:

Dec  6 15:23:23 myhost user:info MetaFrame(License_Service)[630914]:     8300087: CTX1317I The License Server has been contacted successfully.
Dec  6 15:23:23 myhost user:info MetaFrame(License_Service)[630914]:     8300264: CTX1307I The MetaFrame Presentation Server is out of the grace period.

Any idea what is going wrong with the citrix? I am sure the password to farm is the right one. There are 20 other servers in that farm.

I am able join to my new farm the other citrix servers but not to the previous one?

farm is "corrupted"???

I don't like citrix software - it is working very strange sometimes...

I do hope that myhost was not the license server for your farm. I am also wondering why you took it out of the farm in the first place.

Is there any reference to it in the production farm, sometimes it will not remove itself cleanly and you have to manually remove it from the production farm as well.

[blue] A perspective from the other side!![/blue]

Cheers

hmmm...

my new server MPS4.0 was upgraded to fixpack 37 for AIX. maybe in a farm it is not allowed to have MPS on differen fixpack levels and all should be on the same?
