Can I setup my local Pix506 to allow a client behind the firewall using Cisco VPN client to establish a connection with a VPN setup on a remote PIX506 using IPSec. I don't want to establish a PIX to PIX VPN but would rather just allow his traffic to pass. We are using PAT and some static NAT mappings for inside servers. I have configged the access list to allow (esp) traffic any any.

HI.
PAT is the problem here because it supports only TCP and UDP traffic.
Add a STATIC entry for this host with free registered ip address if you have one available - then it should work.
If not, post your config with more details.
