I am trying to connect to my company's VPN network from home. At home, I am connected to the internet using a Linksys router and a DSL modem.
Disabling NAT transparency mode on my Cisco VPN 5000 4.2.11 client, I am able to connect to the VPN server but cannot access any devices on the corporate network.
If I enable NAT transparency mode, I never make a connection to the VPN server.
I am able to use VPN without any problems if I connect my DSL modem directly to my PC.
I have upgraded to the latest router firmware that is available from Linksys.
Here is my configuration:
Router: Linksys BEFSR41
Firmware Version: 1.40.2, Oct 23 2001
Settings:
DHCP - Enabled;
Enabled Multicast Pass Through, IPSec, PPTP;
Disabled Block WAN Request, SPI, Remote Management, Remote Upgrade and MTU.
VPN Client: Cisco VPN5000 v4.2.11
OS: Windows 2000
I've set up a static IP address for my PC and set it up as the DMZ host in my router's configuration.
I appreciate any help that I can get on this subject!
