ATM interface: IP traffic
FastEthernet interface: IP traffic

I would like to configure the 3640 to operate as a bridge
between the two interfaces
The IP network is the same at both interfaces.

So, I would like the 3640 to be a bridge for IP traffic between different types of physical interfaces. thus, convert IP traffic from the ATM to IP traffic on the FastEthernet (same IP network)

Something like:

no ip routing
bridge 1 protcol ieee

int e0
bridge-group 1

int atm 1
bridge-group 1

This will support AAL5 SNAP packets.

Routerman,

the setup you have suggested does not work for me.
The packets comming from the ATM IF are IPoA(rt1483)
from an ADSL CPE working in routing mode.

the setup you have suggested does work only when I configure the ADSL CPE to work as a Bridge Ethernet(br1483)
