We have a Cisco VPN3000 that about 10 users connect to daily. It authenticates via an Active Directory service, and it's been almost flawless throughout it's service. Recently two users a few weeks apart lost the ability to authenticate. They enter their credentials three times and then they get an error "Reason 413: User Authentication Failed" Can anyone think of what to check? I use the VPN daily with zero issues. Thank

I have seen issues where sometimes their Group Authentication parameters are incorrect. I would check their profiles in the vpn client to make sure they match the settings on the concentrator. I would also check the IAS logs (if that's what your using) on the windows side for any messages.
