Any advice appreciated on the following...
One of our users has requested a connection via a cisco VPN client so they can run trawl through their Cryoserver Email archive system.
Basically I'm concerned from a security point of view what issues there may be to this, ie. what vulnerabilities we are open to -
Does the connected PC become part of their network, therefore open to any virus's, malware etc that may be on their network, basically by having this connection open are we reliant on what security procedures they have.
(Obviously we take care of our own security with AV, SecureWave, Group Policies etc)
Basically any advice on what questions I should direct at the company's IT dept. regarding security would be appreciated.
Many Thanks
