Hello all,
I have about hundred users who connects to the office network via Cisco VPN client v4.8 and some v5.0, have been working flawlessly. But, recently I have about ten users who gets disconnected randomly every 10 to 15 minutes or even less.
[Here's the error message: Secure VPN Connection terminated locally by the client. Reason 412: The remote peer is no longer responding...Date/time shown and Duration: 0 days(s), 00:03.34].
Most of the websites that I've visited tends to blame the users internet connection for the disconnections, but it's hard to believe when I troubleshoot the problem users are still able to browse the internet.
By the way these users are remote users working from their homes most of the time and not from one central location.
I'm using the same VPN .pcf profile with no customization and I'm able to connect 1hr. to the absolute maximum time of 3hrs. Go figure.
Some of the troubleshooting have been performed such as, mtu setting, uninstalling/reinstalling the Cisco VPN client, replacing the VPN profile, connect via wireless/wired and pcs data cards, but no matter what these wonderful users are still being disconnected.
I'm running Windows 2003 domain, any setting I should check here?
There has been no changes on the concentrator(unknown model), but all of the sudden some of these users are being disconnected.
This is really frustrating and I'm pulling my hair, of what I have left!
I'm dumbfounded or I'm just plain Dumb!
Anyone have any idea?
Any help would be much appreciated.
