According to Cisco IPSEC implementation Guide for version 6.0, I need to have routers that support IKE Config Mode, which means they have to run IOS version 12.0(6) or later, if i want to connect to a PIX firewall as the terminating point of the VPN tunnel. Which routers are they talking about? Are they talking about routers that the traffic hops through, or are they talking about just 1 router that the PIX sits behind? These little caveats are beginning to be so annoying, especially after you've payed around $700 for 3DES license.
Does anyone know anything specific on the subject?

David.

If all you're doing is a client VPN solution then don't worry about the routers. Whatever your reading is probably talking about a point-to-point VPN between your PIX and a Cisco router. You should be able to knock out the PIX client side VPN in a couple of minutes. Email me if you need a config.
