We are looking to put a few of our employees at a customers site. They will be connected on the inside of their network. Our employee's will be running cisco VPN Client on their desktops to gain access back to our site.

Our customer is not sure what he has to do on his firewall to give allow the vpn out. I have never worked on a checkpoint firewall. Can someone tell me what he will need to do to allow this traffic out and back. We can either do standard udp 500 for our traffic or tcp/ip wrappers.

Thanks!

Hi,

Set up the VPN client and try to establish a communication link. Monitor the Check Point log and it will tell you which ports the packets are trying to access and are being blocked. Once you establish the Identified ports/protocl, simply open those ports.
