Cisco Vpn Client Problem

I have a windows xp computer , that has the cisco vpn client 4.0.5 (B) installed.
The client works alright when it comes to using it through the vpn.
But when i am connected to the network using outlook 2003 , my drives keep disconnecting and outlook keeps setting itself to work offline.
Once you resynchronize everything is alright , until it happens again.
I have installed service pack 2 and ran all the office updates but this problem keeps occurring.

Has anybody got any ideas.

Check that the Cisco client is not running when this problem
crops up.
Service pack 2 has caused many wierd problems with networking.
