I am working with an org. that uses MS proxy 2.0 to monitor/filter their internet connection for all users. They now have a need to connect to their main site via Cisco's VPN software. The software keeps timing out- saying that the peer is not respondnig. Pinging and tracerouting to the IP works fine.
I assume it is a port issue, but don't know how to resolve it. I have installed RRAS, but have yet to configure it to work properly (usually it causes other routing problems in the network).
Here is the current config:
Internet Access is a T1 coming into a Lucent Pipeline Router
Direct connection to Public of Proxy server
Server running NT 4.0, SP 6, and MS Proxy 2.0
2 NIC Cards- 1 public IP, 1 private
Cisco VPN client software is installed directly on the Proxy server to eliminate potential problems.
Any help you can give is appreciated. I have searched everywhere!
