For several months I have been able to use the Cisco VPN client on my Windows 98 machine with no problem, until a couple of days ago. Now when I get connected I'm lucky if I stay connected for any amount of time greater than 15 minutes without getting the message "Your IPSec was terminated". I have the following configuration:

Windows 98 Second Edition
Roadrunner Cable Service
SMC Barricade SMC7004ABR Broadband router

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same problem. I even upgraded to XP for it to see if that would solve the problem, but it didn't.

When my IPSec connection is terminated I have to completely reset my Comcast cable modem, since it totally lost its connection to the internet...I have to unplug the modem and plug it back in again....Simply rebooting doesn't get my connection back...

Have you found a solution since you asked this question yet ?

Thanks,
