Has anyone had a problem with the cisco vpn client causing a pc to reboot when you try to launch the client to connect to the vpn?

Do you have any other VPN clients installed ?

Yes,

Several are installed on a variety of OS's and this is only the second PC to ever encounter this problem. The first one had to be completely rebuilt from scratch to resolve the problem. I am sure the second one faces the same unless I can figure out what is causing it.

Have you uninstalled the client, then made sure the service was no longer present, then tried reinstalling the client?

Services running was the problem we encountered.
Had a Nortel VPN client installed;tried to install Cisco client. They do not play well together.
Had to ensure the services for both clients were set to MANUAL upon bootup, then start services for client to be used.

I will look into this and make sure the user does not have the microsoft vpn client installed and running in addition to the cisco vpn client etc...

Will let you know if this works.
