Cisco VPN client auto connects when feature disabled

Greets -

VPN client version 4.8.01.0300 on an XP SP2 laptop. I enabled the "auto connect on open" feature for a while for testing. Once I decided I no longer wanted that to happen, I removed the check from the setting. However, the client continues to connect when it's opened. I've re-enabled and re-disabled the setting, to no avail.

Has anyone seen this and come up with a solution?

Fixed -

The shortcut had appended

-c "name of connection"

to the shortcut for the client. Removing it solved the problem.
