Dose anyone know of a way to get Cisco VPN client to work with a Netgear FVS318 cable router? Any help or direction would help greatly. Thanks in advance.

I might need some clarification but I'll take a stab at it.

At first I thought you were asking if a Cisco VPN device would work with the Netgear device you have and the answer would be that if the Netgear can pass the same authentication and protocol, yes and it should not be difficult.

But you said VPN Client. I am assuming you mean Cisco's software client. In this case. The reason you have a client would be in case the person does not have a device that is capable of routing/securing the VPN connection, or the vendor simply wants it that way. It can be much easier than worrying about two different vpn devices.

If you are using a software client to authenticate a VPN connection, all you should have to do is allow the correct ports/services through your Netgear. If you know what version of the Cisco client you have (or at least what Cisco VPN device you are connecting to via the client), you should be able to find the information you need on Cisco's site.
