Ok,

Please direct me to where I need to be, or give me a link so I can RTFM!

I am using my work laptop, Dell Lattitude D610 (Work laptop large US Company over 140K people - I am not US based)
Home router: Netgear DG834G v2

I have no problems with this setup I can connect to anything.

My work laptop was rebuilt, and several things changed as you might imagine. Zone Alarm was part of the install. Cisco VPN 4.0.5D was also.

I can use my laptop and connect via my home LAN to any site I want, specifically, google.com. The problem is, when I login with the vpn, I can no longer connect to any google site that requires a login. I can not connect to tek-tips if I try to login! I am beyond FRUSTRATED.

Things work FINE if I am not VPN'ed in, but go to shit if I VPN. I think the problem is somehow network related, but the network guys assure me it is not the case.

What I am looking for is a direction to go with this. ideas, opinions, etc..

Thanks in advance for anything provided, I will gladly post a summary for the results when solved.

So when coonect to your vpn you can acccess some sites, just not sites than your log into?

" can no longer connect to any google site that requires a login."

are they https:// sites?

are they sites they require cookies to be enabled?

Do you use a proxy server?

Does your company have url filtering software like websense?

what happens when you try to access these sites?

this vpn is it spilt tunneled?

Helenp1983,

I am not trying to access https sites, for example, I can not even login here, to tek-tips while at home loged in the VPN. If I log out of the VPN, I can login with no problem.

Yes, I do have to use a proxy. This same proxy works while in the office, as now, but not while at home on VPN.

It is quite frustrating.

The company did roll out a web restriction software this last week, but it was well after I started having problems. As for what the specific software is, I have no idea, global company, 150k employees, they do not tell us simple things such as that. =-)

And as for what happens when I try to access the sites, they simply hang until http fails connection, no usefull error of any kind.

Thanks for your questions!
