Hi All.

I am currently using a Merdian switch but am looking to install a Cisco VOIP system in a new building.

Q!) I don't need ACD but do need each handset to be used with a headset and either auto answer or force answer.

Q2) Do I need to use IP phone (not PC soft phones), analogue or digital.

Q3) I will need approx 100 phone lines. What does the call quality sound like with multiple lines?

Does anyone have any info on this?

Regards

Dave

Cisco has an auto answer option that can be put on a line. You could have multiple lines on each phone, with some set up to auto answer and some not. The only caveat is that if you have the same line number appearing on multiple phones it cannot be set up to auto answer, but that is pretty much a given. If you have a good network it sounds great, if you have a bad network it sounds okay... I've never had it sound "bad" even over VPN connections riding on the public internet.
