I have a customer who wants to forward their Cisco 7911 VoIP phone to an in-house 7941. They can forward from their extension to one extension,in the building, but not to another. I have looked at the calling search space, the Route Partition, the device pool, and every other field in both the station, and line programing windows. I've also tried forwarding the phone using forward all feature in Call Manager.

I would sure like to get this feature working. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks; Bflowers

I am still new to this but a couple things to try. 1. Can they call the 7941 from the 7911 directly? 2. Try setting the "Incoming" and "Outgoing" restrictions to none on the extension you are trying to forward from just to see if it may be a restrictions issue.

If you can forward to one phone but not another, that is a calling search space restriction.

I checked the calling search space on both phones. They are the same. I also checked the device pool. Unfortunately as they are different models, and can't delete one, and copy the other, then change the MAC address. That would guarantee that all settings are the same. I printed out the station, and line settings of the phone to be transferred to, and verified, line by line that the settings on the originating phone are the same. That's why I contacted Tek_Tips, to see if anyone has any other ideas. And thanks for your suggestions so far.

I rechecked the settings again today. They I can't find any discrepencies. Obviously, I'm missing something.

Thanks; Bflowers

Did you check the call forward always CSS on the line? That's the one affecting this. This is definately something you are missing on the css.

The DN's either have to be in the same partition. Or the CFW CSS needs to be able to call the partition that the 2nd DN is in. All other settings do not matter.

I got it figure out. It was the CSS, and the fact that I was putting a check mark in the call-foward box, next to the destination box. I had fixed it when I made the CSS's all the same. I shot myself in the foot when I checked the call-forward box. That's what was sending the calls to voicemail when trying to all-call forward to the other extension.

Thanks for all of your help and suggestions.
