Cisco Unity Call Handlers - Call Transfer Question

I've just assembled a call handler that allows callers to push the corresponding button to page (beeper) a physcian (Call Transfer). The thing is the physicians rotate - this means the beeper number to call tranfer to must change from time to time. Is there someway to allow the call handler owner change the call handlers transfer call number? FYI - this assembly includes about 6 diffferent call handlers. I tought this could be done using CPCA but it only alows access to the owners personal v-mail account.

Kind Regards,

Not sure if this works but you could try to have the CallHandler transfer to a CTI Port, associate the CTI port to a User, and have the User go through the CCMUser web page to adjust the CFWD All value.

Curious, will Unity allow you to "transfer" to a translation pattern? If so, and you have at least CM 4.1, then you might try experimenting with Time Schedules and various partitions using those schedules. That way, you could create the same translation pattern in various partitions which would be active based on a schedule that you provide. The pattern would then translate to whichever number you want.

This is only a thought. I've never tried such a thing.

Of course, having said that, then if you had a regular schedule to start with, you could accomplish the same thing with just Unity.

Aaah, the creativeness you must have in this biz.

Re-thinking my post, I doubt it would work unless you give the CTI port a mailbox. Unity can't transfer to a non-Unity user, ie, CTI port.
VoIPGuyNSC, same reason the xfer to xlation probably won't work. Never thought of the TOD routing, makes me think some more....... creative or crazy, both work at specific times. :)

Everyone, thanks for your input. I ended up using individual "subcriber" accounts for each. Then gave the user access to Cisco Personal Communications Assistance - CPCA for each subscriber. This allowed them to change the beeper number on demand. Thanks

ah ha! Very good idea. I often overlook using a subscriber account as a call handler.
