I've got to upgrade our version of Call Manager from 4.1.3(SR3) to 4.1.3 (SR6).

Apparently when I do this there is an issue with Tapi Service Providers that would stop our installations of Arc, Berbee, IPCC, Unity etc from being able to communicate to Call Manager, and I have to do something like install the new CiscoTSP from the 4.1.3(SR6) installation.

Can anyone explain exactly what I need to do, as I can't find anything on the Cisco site.

Thanks

I assume you mean Jtapi and not TSP as Unity is the only one you would need to upgrade the TSP and putting an SR on ccm should have nothing to do with TSP's on Unity.

To upgrade the JTAPI to the rest of the systems just download the jtapi plugin from the call manager plug in page and install in on each application (not Unity).

You will need to finish the ccm upgrade before you do the rest.

To upgrade the TSP in unity (if you wish to do that), download the latest TSP compatible to your Unity version from cco, stop unity, install TSP (takes about 30 seconds), and reboot the Unity server. Simple as that.

I don't see why you need to upgrade the TSP however unless you are having issues.

Did TAC tell you to upgrade JTAPI and TSP's?

Thanks Whykap... just what I needed to know, and yes I did mean jtapi.

I was told by the original installer of the system that we'd have to upgrade the JTAPI and TSPs every time we upgraded Call Manager. But if you're saying it's not essential and would only be TAC recommended in the event of problems, then I might just do the upgrade and leave the JTAPI and see what happens.

Thanks

you got to read the SR6 upgrade release notes. Also look into the compatibility matrix to see if your upgraded version is compatible with Unity, IPCC, etc.
As you are only doing an SR you should be OK but do your homework before so you don't have issues later.

I really doubt you will need any jtapi and TSP upgrades however.
