Hi, we are going to opening a freezer warehouse bulding where temp could get down to -10 degrees. Looking to see if any POE switches are designed for that environment or if there is some type of heated box? Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

Wont work for him , operating temps are like 32-113F . He says it gets down to -10 . Not sure what he would use in that kind of temps. Maybe put the switches in a more moderate spot or he may have to run fiber in from the switches.

Actually it does work. The brochure is dead wrong. Rare for cisco to put wrong data out on a data sheet.
I did not look at it before I linked it.
The correct operating temps are:
-40 to 185°F (-40 to 85°C)

we have them installed at a location that can get well below -10F for sustainable times and they have worked as designed for over three years now.

Scratch the last link and refer to this one instead:

Be aware I just tried ordering some Cisco IE class switches in the last 2 months and they were going to take 8-10 weeks to receive them. Ended up going with a different model.
