Okay I trying to manage some bandwidth. I coming out of 2950 Cisco switch to superstack 3com switch with two hard 10/100 connection and 12 10 base t cnt. My idea is to autonegation everything. cnt to 10/100 come out of the 10 base t, then plug into dumbing switch. I believe this will hard wire then into 10mb only and I can limit the group to 10mb cnt.??? Will this work

You can configure the switchport on the 2950 to 10m half or full duplex, if that is what you are trying to do. Even doing half duplex on 100m will slow things down, since it is like a street with one-way @-a-time traffic.

Does the 3Com switch provide that feature, you did not state the model number, but really you should be able to set just one of them to 10BaseT and the auto on the other should follow.
