CISCO switch configuration

Hello

I am completely new to CISCO Switch. but i have to figure out something. in our LAN we have different VLAN. in one of these VLAN, there are a few internal IPs, which have no limitation on them, so if we assign them to a pc , from that PC we can use VPN connection , yahoo messenger and ...... where in switch configuration i can find those settings for those Ips . when i login into switch and use show conf command i can not see those ips which has no configuration.

would you please help me for that.

Hi,

You need to provide more info, i.e your network topology, switch model and possible router model too and how do you connect to the internet e.t.c
Most likely the acls are on a router or firewall but it can be done on a switch too depending on the switch model.

If it's a layer 2 switch, then you need to look on the router. If it's a layer 3 switch, you should see some kind of statements regarding the switchports. Try looking at the running config - do a show run, and if you know the interface number, do a show interface (interface number).

What model switch are you runnning? What IOS version?
