Hi,

I have recently installed a new NEC SV9100 that has using a SIP to ATA appliance (Cisco/Linksys SPA8000), the customer is using all 8 lines of this product via the GCD-4COTC + GPZ-4COTC. We have discovered that all 8 line are not sending disconnect tones with the outside caller hangs up. When using call forward to voicemail, it will look up the line, as no disconnect tones are being sent. The telco is not competence in resolving this issue, the telco owns the SPA8000. Has anyone else come across this problem or know of a fix?

Cheers

Cheers for your reply OzzieGeorge, I'm going to head to site next Wednesday, nearly 3 hours drive one way, to give these settings a go. I will post the outcome...

Good luck but please remember that it is a stab in the dark on my point, just trying to be helpful!

This is a doc that has some tips for programming connecting the SPA8000 to a DSX.

I believe the DSX and 9100 have a lot in common with how they are programmed.

Might help?

Hi Guys,

Just to let you know that i changed/enabled the CPC settings on the Cisco SPA8000 and the disconnect works perfectly, you need to reboot the device once CPC changes are made...as a matter of fact, the telco is now changing the firmware of the SPA8000 units, so that all new roll outs will automatically have CPC enabled.

thanks for you help

Cheers
Aaron
