Hello Everyone,

I am an beginner on Cisco Router and i have a question

i have become a Cisco 2600 Router and this has the following
Hardware configuration

1 * Lan
1 * Serial High Speed
1 * Console
1 * Modem connection port for management

i want to use this for my router at home but i can`t use it with this
configuration then the modem (adsl) don´t has any Serial connetion interface.
is it possible that i become for the serial (hSpeed) port any adapter
that i can converting to RJ45 ?, or what other posibilties do i have to use
this router on my little network ?!!.

There's a product called the WIC-1ADSL which provided an ADSL interface for many routers, such as the 2600 series. It'll provide the solution you need. Another idea would be to keep the current ADSL modem/router you currently have, then have the 2600 be the next item in the 'chain' -- so you have:

Internet->DSL Modem->Cisco 2600->All Other Devices

Here's a link to Froogle with some pricing on the WIC Cards --

As you can, they're not especially cheap, and you may have trouble if you're new to Cisco products to get things working (there are different types of DSL encapsulation), but it is possible. Good luck!
