I need to upgrade a Checkpoint fw. This fw has a serial interface directly connected to internet. During the upgrade process I must replace this fw with another one with only ethernetports. I want use a Cisco router with one serial and one ethernetport (1601). Those ports should be completely transparent like a bridge, and the offical ip-adress should be on the firewall. Does anyone have a tip to me ?

This should be enough:

interface Ethernet
bridge-group 1
interface Serial
bridge-group 1
exit
bridge 1 protocol ieee
