Cisco Router 2501 & Hyperterminal

Hi,

I'm using hyperterminal to connect using the default settings and using COM1 however every time i try and connect it says "hypertrm.exe has a program error and has to restart". Iv'e tried it over and over again but still had the same error. The computer (Windows 2000 Pro) i'm using in on a DNS server, and only when I login onto "THIS Computer" that hyperterminal doesn't work, but when I logon to the Domain I'm able to logon to hyperterminal. Any suggestions?

This sounds like a Win 2000 problem. Try temporarily enabling the profile as an administrator and then use hyperterminal. You may have to delete and reinstall. After you get it going you can set the profile back to whatever you had it to before.
