I am looking to buy a firewall like waht is in the subject line.

I want it to practice configs and dmz stuff.

Is there anything to look out for or any gotchas that I should know about in doing this?

That should do you for almost everything. If you are buying new, I would go for the ASAs. The ASA5505 has DMZ, better hardware and more ports. You might want to pick up a 506e so you can practice site-to-site VPNs, and hub and spoke setups.
