When i check the ip adress of my cisco 7940 sccp phone and type it in a webbrowser I see all kind of information. That's cool. When I type ipadress/CGI/screenshot or -execute, i need to fill in a login and password. I know it is for pushing information to the screen of the phone but what i want to know:

Are the login and password stored in the phone or in the call manager? So if i fill something in, will the phone check the Call manager in a file for login and password?
When in the phone, what are the defaults?
I tried Cisco with blank, cisco, cisco but no good.

By the way, I don't use call manager but T6000

I have been testing this and the following:

I have a user called 53080 configured in global directory with the pin code 123456 and the password xyz. None of these work, the directory number in the device profile is 53080 so I tried 53080 as the username and password and got back:

<CiscoIPPhoneError Number="4" />

(In my browser window)

If I try 53080 with either its pin code or password I just get The page cannot be found.

This is used for post commands and xml objects. is a good resource that gives you synopsis.

I work for myself - my website is ;)

Hi Megaco,

Thanks for that.

I get the same error all the time. I asume you tried it on you call manager? We use Tekelec T6000 with cisco sccp phones. makes it even harder because we need to figure it out ourselves.
