I have a heating plant that is very loud and no one can here the phone when it rings. I would like to install a bell ringer of some sore that will ring along with a particular telephone. The plant is using Cisco SCCP. Can someone reccommend a bell as well as how i would need to configure it to ring from the Cisco phone.

If you have a VG224 or similar, you could set up an analog line with the same ext and plug it in to a standard "phone" bell or strobe. Both are available from Graybar or similar vendors.

I have bells set up using a VG224 port and found that the ring voltage produced by the port is too low (REN) to ring the bell. I had to buy a RING VOLTAGE BOOSTER II unit and put in inline from the port to the bell. Use the link below for the product or search for RING VOLTAGE BOOSTER II online.

Maybe also check around and see if you can still find a device called a STINGER. You could drive those off practically any ringer voltage, we used to use them years ago with old 1A2 key systems and I can attest they are *BRUTAL* - in excess of 120db sound pressure. I put one in the shop of a boat marina where ,echanics periodically had boat engines running. They could *always* hear the phone when it rang, even with double hearing protection on.
