I guess their code has now become "open source"? Ok, dumb joke.

Since the bad guys can get their hands on the source code, I would make sure the good guys can, too.

Were I Cisco, at this point I would turn the source code over to some agency to have a software security analysis performed. I would instruct this organization to go over the code with a fine-toothed comb and report every bug, buffer overrun, etc. And to do it quickly.

I would then start fixing the code to make sure that those bugs are fixed and make sure the whole world knows about the updated software.
